This plan ensures college application success by directing students to complete each Sweet 16 in the best possible manner. Most students perform better when a clear, logically-sequenced plan structures their college admissions tasks.
Includes:
- Start to finish program that guarantees 10 complete college applications with essays by the last day of school prior to senior year winter break.
- Free access to The College Handbook and guided support for all Sweet 16s.
- Bi-monthly phone or zoom meetings with students and homework email check-ins to complete the above Sweet 16 goals.
- A two-tiered approach to applying to colleges. Students work the Sweet 16s while writing and rewriting their college admissions essay(s) with our assistance and guidance.
- Bi-monthly phone meetings with parents to review progress and to implement any program adjustments needed for ongoing success.
- Parents and student emails to review assigned homework.
- Program cap of 15 students to ensure individualized support of each student.

STARTING THE COLLEGE PROCESS
This plan supports students in generating of list of 10 college matches (reach, target and safety schools). By the end of the session, students complete the initial research process critical in pursuing college options. The most difficult start point of the college admissions process is faced. Students are more likely to self-direct the rest of the college process independently and with confidence.
Includes:
- Free access to The College Handbook and guided support for any of the following target Sweet 16s: The College List of 10-15 Schools, High School Counselor Pow Wows, The ACT and/or SAT, The Common Application, The Non-Common Application, and Letters of Recommendation.
- Bi-monthly phone or zoom meetings with students and homework email check-ins to complete the above Sweet 16 goals.
- A two-tiered approach to applying to colleges. Students work the Sweet 16s while writing and rewriting their college admissions essay with our assistance and guidance.
- Bi-monthly phone meetings with parents to review progress and to implement any program adjustments needed for ongoing success.
- An end-session meeting plan to direct the remainder of the college application process.
- Completion of three solid college admissions essay rough drafts.

IMPROVING PERSONAL CONTACT
This plan prepares and supports students as they execute 10 strong college interviews. By the end of the session, students will have successfully engaged with college admissions officers and additional individuals essential to the college admissions process. By improving their communication skills, students increase their chances for college acceptance. In addition, they develop the needed self-awareness to determine which colleges and universities are good fits.

- Free access to The College Handbook and guided support for any of the following target Sweet 16s: Personal Contact, The Brag Sheet, The Resume, College Fairs, and College Interviews.
- Bi-monthly phone or zoom meetings with students and homework email check-ins to complete the above Sweet 16 goals.
- A two-tiered approach to applying to colleges. Students work the Sweet 16s while writing and rewriting their college admissions essay with our assistance and guidance.
- An end-session meeting plan to direct the remainder of the college application process.

PERFECTING THE COLLEGE ESSAY
This plan is designed to produce one or more (depending on the student’s needs) perfected college application essays. Ideally this process will begin at the start of summer and completed before the first school day of senior year. Students write rough drafts while they read numerous short, multi-layered quotes and readings. Final drafts become more complex and nuanced. By the end of the session, students have completed the most difficult and time-consuming aspect of college admissions—the college essay.

- Free access to The College Handbook and guided support for the following target Sweet 16s: The College Essay.
- Bi-monthly phone or zoom meetings with students and homework email check-ins to complete the above Sweet 16 goals.
- A two-tiered approach to applying to writing the essay. Students work on their college essay final draft while writing and discussing higher-level readings.
- An end-session meeting plan to direct the remainder of the college application process.
- Completion of three solid college admissions essay rough drafts that can be used for future college admissions essay completion.
- Completion of at least one final college admissions essay.

This plan supports parents to be college counseling advocates for their children. Designed for students and parents who need minimal support, this plan reviews The College Handbook and addresses typical college application issues.

- Weekly phone or zoom meetings with parents to ensure students complete the above Sweet 16 goals and to support a two-tiered approach to applying to colleges. Parents are guided to support students to work the Sweet 16s while students write and rewrite their college admissions essay(s).
